During the 2023 Legislative Session, S. B. 157 was passed. It repealed 59-2-108, Class 28 Non-Capitalized Equipment. This bill is retroactive to January 1, 2023. Please remove any equipment you are currently reporting in this class and move it to the correct class. Contact our office if you need assistance in classifying equipment.

If you are a business operating in Tooele County you should have received the Annual Personal Property Tax Notice to File Letter in the mail. As required by Utah Statute 59-2-306, please declare all personal property owned, claimed, possessed, controlled, or managed by you at this location as of January 1, . Complete in detail and file with the Assessor’s office by the due date listed on the Personal Property Tax Notice to File.
